Nearby boaters quickly responded to the emergency and were able to reach Bryan. They immediately began performing chest compressions in an attempt to revive him. Despite these urgent and sustained efforts, Bryan was unable to be saved.
His son was safely rescued and is reported to be in stable condition, thanks to the rapid response of those who came to assist during the emergency.
